Munich Re Ventures backs Orange Charger

Orange Charger , a San Francisco-based EV charging solutions provider, has raised $6.5 million in seed funding, bringing its total funds to $8.8 million. Led by Munich Re Ventures and Climactic, with participation from Baukunst and others, the funds will be used to expand operations and development.

Founded by Nicholas Johnson, Orange specializes in Energy Management Solutions for multifamily homes, with Level 2 outlets costing $750 each. Since inception, Orange has deployed over 2,000 units across the US at properties like Greystar, Avalon Bay, and Sares Regis, using mesh technology for connectivity and an app-based payment and management system.
