Mulberri pivots to GenAI OS for commercial insurance

Mulberri , a California-based startup with a 133% increase in headcount over the past year, has shifted its focus to an AI-powered platform called GenAI OS for commercial insurance.

Its core products include IngestBerri, which extracts and enriches application data; UWBerri, which uses AI for risk prediction and pricing; CertBerri, which automates certificate of insurance (COI) issuance and renewals; and , which supports compliance review.

Before the pivot, Mulberri offered a platform for PEOs and brokers to access business insurance products. It featured automated quote and bind, submission intake, and integration with HR and payroll systems to support client onboarding and risk management.

In 2022, Mulberri raised a $4 million seed round led by Hanover Technology Management, MS&AD Ventures, and Altamont Capital Partners. In 2023, it raised a $6.75 million Series A led by Eos Venture Partners, bringing total funding to $10.75 million. At the time, Mulberri said its network included more than 250 PEOs, payroll providers, and brokers, covering around 100,000 businesses.

The company has worked with Acronis to offer embedded cyber insurance and is listed by Qualys as a cyber insurance partner alongside Cowbell.
