Commercial auto insurance platform INSHUR has raised $9m in a combo of Series A and debt financing rounds led by Munich Re/HSB Ventures, with participation from MTech Capital, the Los Angeles-based $75m VC fund, backed by CNA and NN Group.

Established in 2016 and led by Dan Bratshpis and David Daiches, INSHUR is a digital platform for professional and rideshare drivers, enabling the purchase and management of insurance via a mobile app. According to its site, over 17k drivers have used its app.

Bottom Line: MTech’s first investment since announcing its fund last summer.
