MS Amlin confirms successor for Chief Financial Officer
MS Amlin, Lloyd’s global (re)insurer, announced the appointment of Jessie Burrows as Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”). Reporting into Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”) Andrew Carrier, Jessie will assume her role during Q1 2024 subject to regulatory approval.
As part of a structured handover process, Jessie will work alongside current and retiring CFO Phil Green, throughout the first quarter of 2024, as the two oversee the closure and submission of the 2023 year-end financial and regulatory reporting requirements.
Jessie brings over twenty five years of knowledge and experience across the financial services sector to MS Amlin, most recently as Managing Director – Customer Sales, Service and Claims at Direct Line Group (“DLG”), an Executive Committee role that sees her leading the efforts of around 6,500 people, across both commercial and personal lines. Jessie joined DLG more than 7 years ago, originally as Group Financial Controller.
Prior to DLG, Jessie held a variety of increasingly senior roles at Aviva, including Head of Investor Relations, Audit Director for Aviva Global Asset Management, Chief Accounting Officer, and finally FP&A Director for Aviva’s UK & Ireland General Insurance business. After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, Jessie also spent a number of years within KPMG’s insurance practice, supporting clients across a broad spectrum of consulting and advisory services.
“I’m delighted to confirm Jessie’s appointment as our incoming CFO. Jessie brings extensive board level experience, financial expertise and business leadership, alongside a highly impressive track record for improving profitability and performance. Her experience in transformation and delivering client focussed solutions will be enormously valuable to our executive team and wider business. Jessie will join MS Amlin at the perfect time, as we continue to implement our profitable growth agenda.” – MS Amlin CEO, Andrew Carrier.
