Mobly launches pay-per-kilometer car insurance
Meet Mobly:
The Belgium-based startup operates in the space of UBI. Established in 2017 and led by Gerrit Nollet, Mobly was launched to address the declining number of kilometers driven per car thanks to last mile transportation solutions such as e-bikes and scooters.
Its pay-per-kilometer car insurance – available on a monthly basis – starts at €32 per month and is underwritten by Baloise. It also offers roadside assistance via Europ Assistance Belgium. Last, customers can use the Mobly Go app to request breakdown assistance, get insights on their driving behaviors, monitor their fuel consumption and see the exact location of their car.
Bottom Line: “If you drive more than 20,000 km per year, you are probably better off with traditional insurance.”
