Mitchell to power new virtual estimating service from Collective

Mitchell International announced that its software solutions are powering Collective Now’s new virtual estimating service for US auto insurers.

The service aims to streamline claims processing by combining Mitchell’s damage appraisal technology with Collective’s team of auto technical specialists, who create on-demand estimates from vehicle photos. This collaboration supports insurers in delivering a more efficient, digital claims experience.

The launch follows a multi-year pilot program between the two companies, which produced over 300,000 estimates nationwide. Collective Now leverages Mitchell’s Guided Photo Capture, WorkCenter Assignment, and Cloud Estimating solutions to enable quick photo submissions, automated assignment routing, and efficient virtual estimate generation by licensed specialists.

“The launch of this on-demand estimating service is yet another example of the value that Mitchell and its technology bring to auto claims handling. Through our collaboration with Collective, we look forward to helping P&C carriers in the US reduce settlement time, enhance policyholder satisfaction, minimize claim costs and safely return vehicle owners to the road.” – Scott Kozak, senior vice president of insurance client service at Mitchell.

“The estimating process is the most important driver of a policyholder’s digital satisfaction. However, insurers are meeting customer expectations just 35% of the time, according to a recent JD Power study. The use of our on-demand estimating service with Mitchell’s technology, can help carriers exceed consumers’ digital delivery expectations for far less expense than traditional appraisal methods.” – Jeff Waack, Managing Director at Collective Now .
