Lockton Re names Robert Bisset CEO, NA; Nick Durant global vice chairman

Lockton Re has appointed Robert Bisset as CEO, North America, and Nick Durant as global vice chairman, effective February 1.

Bisset, who joined Lockton Re in 2021, most recently served as chairman of global retrocession and property specialty in Bermuda and market capital, and as a member of the firm’s global executive committee. He brings three decades of industry experience across the U.S., Bermuda, London, and Sydney and will lead the next phase of Lockton Re’s North American expansion.

Durant, one of the founding leaders of Lockton Re’s North American business in 2019, previously served as CEO, North America. In that role, he helped scale the platform to more than 200 colleagues and 11 offices in the region. As global vice chairman, Durant will focus on capital solutions, global account growth, and emerging global segments.

Tim Gardner, global CEO of Lockton Re, said the leadership changes support the firm’s continued growth as it expands its North American and international operations, which now span more than 500 colleagues across 23 locations worldwide.
