Lockton appoints Brett Gillmon to lead US property practice

Lockton has named Brett Gillmon as U.S. Property Practice Leader, tasking him with overseeing the strategy and growth of the brokerage’s property offerings nationwide. Gillmon will be based in Atlanta and report to Devin Beresheim, U.S. Risk Solutions Leader.

Gillmon brings nearly 30 years of experience across global property and builders’ risk. He joined Lockton in 2017 and most recently led the firm’s Southeast property practice, supporting complex property and construction placements for large clients across multiple U.S. markets. Prior to Lockton, Gillmon spent more than two decades at Marsh, where he served as a managing director in its U.S. property practice and held roles in Dubai, London, New York, and Atlanta.

The appointment comes as Lockton continues to invest in technical leadership across core commercial lines amid rising property risk complexity and capacity pressures in the U.S. market.
