Lee Equity acquires KCIC
Lee Equity Partners announced the acquisition of KCIC, a consulting firm focused on managing high-value tort liabilities, insurance assets, and complex litigation challenges.
Founded in 2002 and headquartered in Washington, DC, KCIC combines consulting expertise with proprietary technology, including its Ligado software platform, to support insurance policy analysis, liability forecasting, allocation modeling, and dispute resolution. The firm serves corporate clients navigating complex risk exposure and legacy liabilities.
The deal expands Lee Equity’s Insurance Services platform, which includes McLarens and Halliwell, and reinforces the firm’s focus on claims and risk services. Lee Equity has previously invested in insurance-related businesses including Captive Resources, K2 Insurance, Simplicity Group, Axis Insurance, and Arcadian Risk Capital.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
