Ledgebrook files trademark for Lash

Ledgebrook has filed a trademark application for Lash, signaling a potential new brand or business expansion.

The Boston-based specialty MGA submitted the application on August 11. It covers insurance and reinsurance brokerage, consultation, administration and underwriting across general liability, cyber, professional liability, excess casualty and property insurance. The filing also mentions concierge services for insurance customers.

Founded in 2022, Ledgebrook currently writes general casualty and supported excess business through MS Transverse after transitioning the program from Everspan.

Separately, one day before the trademark filing, AM Best assigned A- financial strength ratings to Ledgebrook Specialty Insurance Company and Stonehaven Specialty Insurance Company, the two members of the newly formed Ledgebrook Insurance Group. Ledgebrook Specialty will provide capacity for the group’s own business, while Stonehaven Specialty will focus on third-party business. Both are owned by Ledgebrook Inc.
