Leavitt Group expands into Kansas with benefits agency acquisition

Leavitt Group has partnered with Maria Ahlers to acquire Kansas-based employee benefits agency RPS Benefits By Design , which will be rebranded as Leavitt Strategic Benefits.

Ahlers, who has led the agency’s growth and operations in recent years, will remain president following the transaction. The agency serves clients across multiple states through five offices located in four states.

The deal marks Leavitt Group’s entry into Kansas and expands its footprint to 30 states. According to Leavitt Group, Leavitt Strategic Benefits will continue operating from its existing locations while gaining access to the brokerage’s broader resources and capabilities.

Leavitt Group is one of the largest privately held insurance brokerages in the U.S., with a network of more than 80 agencies and over 290 locations nationwide.
