Layoffs at Cover Whale
Trucking insurance provider Cover Whale has reduced its workforce by ~15%, impacting around 20 employees.
The startup, which was founded in 2019, publicly disclosed $15.5 million in funding in a round that was announced in October 2021. According to information we obtained, Cover Whale is looking to raise more money in the near future, and the layoffs, according to a source, will allow it to reach profitability ahead of the next funding round.
Cover Whale claims to have over 6,000 appointed agents.
