KYND expands into the US
KYND , a UK-based provider of cyber risk management technology and services, expanded into the US insurance market.
Founded in 2018 by Andy Thomas and Melanie Hayes, KYND developed a cyber risk technology platform that gathers and processes data to assess cyber risk for companies. Information is assessed, and presented in ‘plain English’, providing insight on cyber risk exposure. It developed partnerships with insurers and brokers, such as Beazley, Howden, Paragon, Alliant and BFL Canada.
KYND’s US-based team has been established in Austin, Texas.
“We’ve had a phenomenal couple of years with our valued clients and partners in the UK, and the company is now ready to take the next step on the journey to accomplishing our unswerving mission of making complex cyber risks easy to understand and manage for every business in the world. At KYND, we’re incredibly excited to bring our expertise and capability to North America – to continue delivering meaningful, actionable insights to clients globally through our next-generation technology, helping them gain firm control over such a complex, dynamic, and ubiquitous threat as cyber risk.” – Andy Thomas, KYND’s CEO and Founder.
Bottom Line: On the other hand, US-based cyber insurance firms with a presence in the UK include Cowbell, Corvus, and Coalition.
