Kinsale realigns analytics and technology under single leader
Kinsale Capital Group is combining its analytics and technology functions under one leader, promoting Salmaan Allibhai to Executive Vice President and Chief Analytics and Technology Officer.
The move brings data, actuarial, and technology capabilities closer together as the specialty insurer looks to streamline decision-making and reduce operational silos. Allibhai, who joined the company in 2016 and most recently served as Chief Actuary, will now oversee the combined function.
Separately, Nicholas Kunkle has been promoted to Vice President and Chief Actuary, taking responsibility for the analytics and actuarial team.
The changes follow the retirement of Diane Schnupp, who served as Chief Information Officer and will remain in a consulting role during the transition.
The realignment is aimed at improving speed, efficiency, and alignment across its data and technology strategy as it continues to scale its excess and surplus lines business.
