Kinetic retires wearables from workers’ comp program
Kinetic Insurance is retiring its Reflex wearable devices from its workers’ compensation program, shifting more investment toward claims intelligence and management.
Reflex is no longer available to new policyholders and will be fully retired for existing policyholders by October 1, 2027. Coverage, claims service and dividend eligibility remain unchanged. Organizations using Reflex outside a Kinetic workers’ compensation policy are unaffected.
Kinetic’s dashboard combines policy information, near-real-time claims data and return-to-work status. The company says its AI monitors 80 data points per claim to recommend next steps, supported by claims managers, policyholder success managers and loss control teams. According to Kinetic, employers actively engaged with its program have 34% lower loss ratios.

Newly appointed VP of Product Matt Crum is leading further platform development for mid-market and large commercial accounts.
The shift is also reflected in Kinetic’s website: its former domain, wearkinetic.com, now redirects to kineticcomp.com, where the company emphasizes workers’ compensation claims and cost management.
Coverager’s funding data tracks approximately $19.4 million in disclosed funding, including an $11.3 million Series A in 2020 backed by Crosslink Capital, Nationwide, Primary Ventures, Prologis Ventures and Ubiquity Ventures. It also lists debt financing from Trinity Capital in December 2025, with no amount disclosed.
