Kin is live in Texas

Home insurance startup Kin Insurance is now available in Texas.

Kin is now offering coverage in eight states – Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina, Virginia, and Texas.

Kin is the the attorney-in-fact for two reciprocals – Kin Interinsurance Network and Kin Interinsurance Nexus Exchange. The former, which primarily writes in Florida (94% of premiums), reported $264 million in written premiums for the first nine months of 2023. The latter, which writes in Alabama, Arizona, Mississippi, South Carolina, and Virginia, reported $4 million in written premiums for the first nine months of 2023.
