Jove is targeting independent workers

Jove Insurance, the London-based insurance startup looking to bundle a variety of insurance products for independent workers, has raised £600k in pre-seed funding from Fuel Ventures and the heads of Octopus Group Ventures. Angel investor Chris Adelsbach and Evelyn Bourke, former CEO of Bupa, also joined the round.

Founded in 2020 and led by Lizhen (Amanda) Cai, Jove is building a bundle of insurance products for drivers, freelancers and consultants. Products – delivered via an embedded model – include business, car, health, travel, and gadget insurance.

Jove is set to launch in January with car insurance before entering the business and health insurance space.
