John Hancock partners with Home Base to provide cancer screening for special operations veterans
John Hancock , a Manulife unit, is offering Galleri®, GRAIL’s multi-cancer early detection (MCED) test, to special operations veterans receiving care through Home Base, a nonprofit supporting veterans and their families. This initiative, in collaboration with Massachusetts General Hospital’s Early Detection and Diagnostics Clinic, aims to address the elevated cancer risks faced by veterans due to service-related exposures.
Galleri, a blood test capable of detecting over 50 types of cancer, will be provided at no cost to veterans under Home Base’s care. The initiative aligns with John Hancock’s mission to promote preventive health and expands on its previous offering of MCED testing through the Vitality program. This effort underscores John Hancock’s commitment to supporting underserved, high-risk communities with innovative health solutions.
