John Hancock adds new Apple Watch models to Vitality Program
John Hancock is offering the latest Apple Watch models to eligible life insurance customers in its Vitality Program. Starting this fall, Vitality PLUS members can earn an Apple Watch Series 9, Apple Watch SE, or opt for an Apple Watch Ultra 2 for an extra fee by exercising regularly. The program incentivizes healthier lifestyles by providing rewards for daily health-focused activities.
A recent study showed that Apple Watch users in the program are significantly more engaged, earning 8x more points than those without the device. The watch features health and fitness tracking, including activity, sleep, emotional awareness, menstrual cycle tracking, heart health, and safety features.
Vitality PLUS customers participating in the Apple Watch program pay an initial $25, plus tax, and can reduce the remaining balance to zero through regular exercise. The points earned can also lead to other rewards and discounts, including lower life insurance premiums. Lindsay Hanson, John Hancock’s Chief Marketing Officer, emphasized the impact of the Vitality program and Apple Watch on improving health and even life-changing experiences for some customers.
