Jerry launches Garage Guard in ChatGPT

Garage Guard by Jerry.ai has officially launched as an app within ChatGPT. The new interactive productivity tool is designed to take the guesswork out of car repairs by offering quick, transparent repair estimates that show how long a job should take, typical labor rates in a user’s area, and fair parts pricing.

GarageGuard was first introduced in 2023, marking a key step in Jerry’s evolution from a car insurance aggregator to a broader car ownership super app. By providing car diagnostic and repair estimation tools, Jerry began moving beyond insurance and into the full scope of vehicle ownership and maintenance.

Founded in 2017, Jerry has raised over $242 million in funding — including $110 million in its most recent round in August 2023. The company now claims to reach more than 5 million customers across the United States.

Jerry.ai is also hiring. The company is actively seeking licensed, entrepreneurial insurance producers to join its Independent Agent Network in markets such as Phoenix and Scottsdale. These producers will focus on building local partnerships while using Jerry.ai’s platform to attract and serve clients. In addition, Jerry is expanding opportunities by recruiting 1099 insurance agents who generate their own leads — a shift from its previous W‑2 model.
