Introducing Richr

Founded in 2018, Richr is a Miami-based company led by Glenn Orgin and Serena Orgin. It offers a platform for homeowners to list their homes for free with the promise of a listing questionnaire that only takes minutes to complete.

“With Richr there is no seller’s fee and you decide the buyer’s agent fee. Your home is listed for sale on your local MLS for free and will appear on more than 750 websites, including Zillow, Redfin, Trulia and Realtor.com.”

But while listing a home is free, MLS rules require that the seller offers real estate agents a commission to compensate them for bringing a buyer to them. Which brings us to the ultimate question – how will Richr generate a profit? Part of that answer is ‘insurance.’

The company recently announced the launch of Richr One, a one-stop-shop service that combines Richr, Richr Title, Richr Insurance and soon Richr Loans. “You can use Richr One to sell for free in combination with Richr Title or use Richr One to buy your home and get up to 3% cash back rewards in combination with our title, and insurance services.”

In other words, those buying a home using Richr are entitled to a rebate of 100% buyers agent commission at closing, and the buying service fee of $1,000 will be waived if they select services from ‘Richr One.’
