Introducing Opkit

New York-based Opkit is now live with its automated health insurance verification platform.

Founded in 2021 and a team of 2 according to LinkedIn data, the startup’s platform makes it easy to determine if a patient’s health insurance plan is active and in- or out-of-network. It also returns relevant benefits – “Opkit returns deductibles, copays and other benefits for a huge variety of medical services – everything from therapy to surgery. Our data comes straight from the source: insurance carriers.”

According to Crunchbase data, Opkit closed a $1 million seed funding round from Global Founders Capital, Mischief, Socially Financed, and Y Combinator.

Opkit integrates with insurance carriers, including most commercial and government plans, and its software works for medical, dental and vision insurance.
