Meet Joyn Insurance :
The New York City-based startup plans to underwrite small and middle market commercial insurance. “We’re powered by technology, data, and expertise to deliver a transparent, trusted, and truly one-of-a-kind insurance experience to our valued brokers and customers. When we join up, we’re smarter, better, faster, and protected. Together.”
The company is led by co-founder and CEO Seraina Macia, who previously led Blackboard Insurance , the technology-driven subsidiary of AIG that has been placed into run-off in the middle of last year. There are obvious similarities on the surface between Joyn and Blackboard.
Finally, TigerRisk Partners has a small part to play.
