Online insurance marketplace Coverfox has appointed Premanshu Singh as its new CEO, as cofounder and ex-CEO Varun Dua moves to head Acko General Insurance, the Mumbai-based insurer, that has so far secured $30M to launch a digital offering. Speaking of Coverfox, according to the Economic Times (ET), it is looking to shift its focus to term life insurance, which currently contributes to less than 1% of its bottom line. “In two years, we expect life insurance to contribute to 50% of the overall business revenues. In terms of premiums, life insurance helps the revenue growth better” – Coverfox CEO Premanshu Singh told ET.
