Insurer-backed BeeHero raises $42 million

CA-based BeeHero , a provider of smart hive sensor technology to track the health of bees and help farmers boost crop yields, has closed a $42 million Series B funding round led by Convent Capital with participation by MS&AD Ventures and others.

Founded in 2017, the startup has raised $64 million to date for its precision pollination platform.

“BeeHero’s mission is to deliver pollination accountability for commercial crop growers, by leveraging big data analytics and machine learning to help them mitigate pollination risk. Thus allowing them to focus on producing more food, securely, and sustainably.” – Omer Davidi, CEO of BeeHero.
