Independence Pet Holdings names Vandana Venkat president of Independence Pet Group

Independence Pet Holdings  (IPH) has appointed Vandana Venkat as president of Independence Pet Group (IPG), the company’s pet insurance and services division.

Venkat brings more than 20 years of experience in insurance and financial services, including leadership roles at Argo Group, Clearcover, and PURE Insurance. During her career she has focused on underwriting and operations strategy, data and AI initiatives, and scaling digital insurance businesses. Earlier roles include positions in product, pricing, and risk management at Progressive, Kemper, and Allianz/Fireman’s Fund.

IPH CEO Kirk Haggard said Venkat’s experience will support the company’s continued growth across its pet insurance portfolio and broader mission to expand pet health services.

Independence Pet Group oversees several pet insurance brands, including AKC Pet Insurance, OnePack Plan by PetPartners, Figo, and ASPCA Pet Health Insurance. The organization provides insurance coverage for more than one million pets across the U.S. and Canada and also offers services such as microchip identification, lost pet recovery, and pet registry tools.
