Income Launches a Travel Chatbot Called Jiffy Jane

Singapore-based Income has launched an unguided conversational travel insurance chatbot on Facebook Messenger. Keyword: unguided. The chatbot is named ‘Jiffy Jane’, and aims to be one’s personal travel insurance concierge to enable the purchase of suitable travel insurance instantly. Look:

 

Jiffy Jane first made on appearance on August 1 and has since hosted 1,100 chats via 780 unique users, for a total of 30 completed transactions. That’s a 4% conversion rate. The chatbot was developed with Zumata, one of the nine startups selected by the company’s accelerator program – ‘Income Future Starter’. And this was my experience:
