iink Endorsements closes seed round

According to Crunchbase, Tampa-based iink Payments  has closed a $900,000 seed round from undisclosed investors.

Founded in 2017 and led by co-founder and CEO Ryan Holliday, iink (a team of 6) offers a property insurance claims system that automates the homeowner’s claims and endorsements. As a result, homeowners and business owners can receive their funds after a covered loss in as little as two weeks.

Here’s how it works:

  • Required documents and claim details are uploaded to iink
  • iink sends welcome email and mortgage verification to the primary insured while submitted info and docs are reviewed
  • iink emails the auto-filled endorsement package to all payees for authorization and DocuSign e-signatures
  • An endorsement package is submitted for a mortgage review where iink handles all the follow-ups
  • Endorsement instructions and shipping labels are provided by iink for mailing the check to the mortgage company
  • Package review completed and funds are disbursed by the mortgage company
  • As the contractor finishes repairs, iink coordinates inspections and disbursement payments with the mortgage company

According to its site, iink is developing integrations with CRM and accounting software platforms to improve the user experience.
