Humana Comes to Papa

According to Louisville Business First, Humana has partnered with ‘grandkids on-demand’ platform Papa to help its Medicare Advantage plan members reduce loneliness.

Established in 2017, the Miami-based startup has raised $3.2m to connect seniors with  some ~300 papa pals – typically college students – who can assist with transportation, grocery shopping, house work, technology and companionship. Pricing starts at $20/hour.

Humana is currently offering the service in Tampa region for free or at a nominal fee. Bottom Line: Not without issues.
