Howden announced as Official Partner of England Golf
Howden Group Holdings has been appointed the Official Insurance Partner of England Golf under a three year agreement running through the end of 2028.
The London headquartered broker, which operates in 57 countries, will continue to arrange £10 million in public liability coverage for all England Golf club members and iGolf subscribers. The new agreement also introduces an optional insurance scheme that allows golfers to purchase additional protection for risks such as equipment theft and overseas travel, designed to complement the existing cover.
The partnership includes support for England Golf’s Play Safe, Stay Safe initiative, with a focus on promoting safer environments and expanding education across clubs and local communities. Howden, which has around 200 offices across the UK and Ireland, plans to engage directly with affiliated clubs as part of its local outreach.
“England Golf is an excellent fit for Howden. Our experience working with more than 300 national governing bodies, gives us a deep understanding of clients’ insurance and risk management requirements. This partnership strengthens our commitment to amateur and grassroots sport even further. As part of our role, we will be arranging protection for England Golf members and iGolf subscribers, supported by our sector-leading expertise and a dedicated team — including specialist claims handlers — to assist members whenever they need us.” – Andy Goulbourne, Divisional Director, Sport and Entertainment at Howden.
“Howden’s scale, expertise and commitment to community sport make them an ideal partner as we continue to support golfers and clubs across the country. Their investment in Play Safe, Stay Safe and their desire to engage locally will bring real value to our members. The partnership marks a significant step forward in England Golf’s mission to champion a safe, inclusive and thriving future for the sport.” – Jeremy Tomlinson, Chief Executive at England Golf.
