HOMEE raises $17 million
Tampa-based repair network company HOMEE closed a $17 million Series B-2 funding round, bringing its total funding to $50 million.
The round was led by Morningside and was joined by existing investors Liberty Mutual Strategic Ventures, State Farm Ventures, Hartford Investment Management Company (HIMCO), and Desjardins as well as existing investors Forte Ventures and Activate Capital.
Founded in 2016 as an on-demand home services platform, the company is now emphasizing its B2B model and is now a smaller team (~60 v. ~86). And one of its insurer-investors uses Homee service as a value-added service.
Bottom Line: Less of an Angi’s competitor and more of a Handdii’s competitor.
