Hive closes €6.6 million seed round

Berlin-based Hive Technology closed a €6.6 million seed funding round from Earlybird, Amplifier and existing investors.

Founded in 2020, Hive stores and ships products for small and medium-sized online merchants. Here’s how it works: E-commerce companies connect their current webshop (e.g. Shopify, Amazon) with Hive to start syncing their products and orders. They then tell Hive which SKUs to handle and their preferred carriers. The inventory is sent to Hive and “the fun begins.”

Hive picks, packs and ships all incoming orders directly from its own warehouse.

The funds will be used to expand their software integrations beyond fulfillment with service providers in the areas of freight forwarding, merchandise pre-financing, and insurance.
