Hertz partners with UVeye

Hertz is partnering with vehicle inspection platform UVeye to introduce advanced AI inspection to its US operations.

UVeye, which is backed by W. R. Berkley, offers a drive-thru system that enables real-time, automated inspections of a vehicle’s body, glass, tires, and undercarriage.

The companies first rolled out the solution in Atlanta at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and they plan to bring more systems to major US airport locations.

“With millions of customers and over 100 years of service around the world, we’re continually focused on transforming every aspect of our company and that includes how we maintain our vehicles. We are excited to partner with UVeye to bring efficiency and greater accuracy to our maintenance process, so we can focus on our vehicles being ready when and where our customers want them.” – Mike Moore, EVP Technical Operations at Hertz.

“Hertz is setting a new standard for vehicle maintenance and fleet management in the rental industry, and we’re thrilled to partner with them. Our AI-driven inspection systems complement manual checks with consistent, data-backed assessments completed in seconds.” – Amir Hever, CEO and Co-Founder of UVeye.

Bottom Line: Redditors either praised UVeye’s potential for quality control and auctions or criticized its high cost and occasional inaccuracy, warning it could be used to undervalue trade-ins.
