Heffernan acquires Kristin Manwaring Insurance Associates

Heffernan Insurance has acquired the assets of Kristin Manwaring Insurance Associates, an independent insurance agency based in Port Townsend, Washington. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Kristin Manwaring and her team joined Heffernan effective May 1.

The agency has operated for more than 50 years and offers employee benefits, individual and family insurance, Medicare products, and financial protection solutions. Manwaring acquired the business in 2006 after working with its previous owner for 10 years.

The acquisition expands Heffernan’s presence in the Pacific Northwest. Founded in 1988 and headquartered in Walnut Creek, California, Heffernan offers business and personal insurance, employee benefits, and financial services.
