Healthcare AI startup No Barrier raises $2.7 million
No Barrier , a San Francisco-based healthcare AI startup, has raised $2.7 million in a Seed funding round led by A-Squared Ventures, Esplanade Ventures, Rock Health Capital and Fusion VC.

Founded in 2023, the platform integrates with hospital systems and electronic health records (EHRs) to deliver instant, HIPAA-compliant speech-to-speech interpretation in more than 40 languages, covering the full patient journey from check-in to discharge. The company says it cuts interpretation costs by up to 70% by removing wait times and reducing reliance on third-party human interpreters. It is used by over 100 healthcare sites across 12 states, spanning hospitals and specialties including Mental Health, Reproductive Care, Pediatrics and more.
“Our mission is simple: make healthcare communication immediate, accurate, and accessible to every patient. We’re removing language barriers from healthcare, permanently.” – Eyal Heldenberg, Co founder & CEO, No Barrier.
