Harken Health, We Hardly Knew You

Lifestyle health insurer Harken Health, the independent subsidiary of UnitedHealthcare, is shutting down according to Chicago Tribune.

The company, which describes itself as “a new kind of health care company that unites relationship-based primary care with a range of competitively priced insurance plan options” was operating in Illinois and Georgia since 2015. Turns out that last year, the company has lost ~$64 million, and received infusions of $120 million from parent company UnitedHealthcare.
