Grinnell files trademark application for “Farmutual”

Grinnell Mutual has filed a trademark application for “Farmutual” covering tax consulting and filing, accounting, insurance claims adjustment, and insurance consulting and information services.

Filed on October 1, 2026, the application has not yet been assigned to an examiner.

The name has an existing connection to Grinnell Mutual. Farmutual Insurance Services, LLC is listed among its subsidiaries and provides services to member mutuals, according to an AM Best report.

Grinnell also previously used the FarMutual name in its member branding. As part of its 2017 brand update, the company replaced the longstanding FarMutual logo with “Grinnell Mutual Member.”
