Greg Zimmer named CEO of Alliant Insurance Services
Alliant Insurance Services has announced the appointment of Greg Zimmer as CEO. He assumes the role from longtime Alliant leader Tom Corbett, who will remain as the company’s executive chairman.
Corbett, who joined Alliant in 1977, served as Alliant’s CEO for more than 30 years, guiding the company’s emergence into one of the nation’s top names in insurance brokerage and consulting.
Zimmer joined Alliant in 1998 as CFO and was named President in 2007. As President, he was responsible for implementing the overall strategic direction of the company while overseeing all mergers and acquisitions activity. Under his guidance, Alliant completed 100+ acquisitions in strategic markets across the US while seeing its employee population grow to nearly 11,000.

Additional leadership promotions include:
- Zimmer’s role of president will be filled by Ralph Hurst, who previously oversaw the company’s retail brokerage operations.
- Peter Arkley will assume Hurst’s position of president, National Brokerage, overseeing Retail Property & Casualty and Employee Benefits.
- Sean McConlogue will lead Alliant Underwriting and Consumer Solutions as president, which combines the current underwriting and consumer operations under one umbrella.
- CFO Ilene Anders and COO Peter Carpenter will continue in their current roles.
The new leadership roles will take effect April 1, 2024.
