Great American introduces Contactors ProProtect

The Environmental Division of Great American Insurance Group has introduced Contractors ProProtect, a new program designed for construction contractors with annual revenues of $25 million or less. This offering is available to a wide range of trades, including general contractors, excavation contractors, electricians, plumbers, and others. It aims to address the increasing contractual demands placed on contractors and to fill coverage gaps left by general liability, builder’s risk, and other casualty policies.

Contractors ProProtect includes coverage for emergency response costs, first-party discovery for contractors pollution liability, and mediation credits. Policies are available for a one-year term, with limits up to $5 million, self-insured retentions between $5,000 and $25,000, and minimum premiums starting at $5,000 for CPL/PL coverage and $4,500 for CPL-only coverage.

The program features an online quoting platform that allows brokers to obtain quotes within minutes. Each policy is reviewed by Great American Environmental’s underwriting team to ensure that coverage is tailored and appropriate for both insureds and their clients. The company emphasizes that the digital platform is designed to meet brokers’ needs without compromising the quality or service associated with its brand.
