Goosehead names new general counsel and corporate secretary

Goosehead Insurance has named Martin Thornthwaite as general counsel and corporate secretary, effective March 30, 2026, replacing John O’Connor, who is leaving the company.

Thornthwaite joins from RealPage, where he served as senior vice president and associate general counsel, overseeing litigation, regulatory matters, investigations, employment issues, and corporate governance. Before that, he held legal roles at Clark Hill and Strasburger & Price.

Goosehead is a personal lines insurance agency that works with more than 200 carriers and distributes products through corporate and franchise locations across the US.
