Google Ventures backs Collective Health
Google Ventures backs San Mateo-based startup Collective Health that raised $81 million in Series C funding yesterday bringing the total amount of funding to date to $119 million. The company offers a self-insurance platform (think: employers act as insurers) to allow businesses to design and administer their employee health benefits and looks “to shift the focus of health insurance from profits to people”, according to CEO and cofounder Ali Diab. Anthem is a partner.
