Glyn Hughes named Managing Director of Allianz Personal Broker

Allianz UK has appointed Glyn Hughes as Managing Director of Allianz Personal Broker, effective February 2026, subject to regulatory approval. He will join the UK personal lines leadership team and report to Serge Raffard.

Hughes is currently Director of Personal Lines Underwriting and Pricing at Ageas, where he has overseen growth across motor, home, travel, and special risks. He began his career at Groupama before moving to Ageas in 2013, holding senior roles in motor pricing and underwriting.

His hire signals Allianz’s continued investment in its broker business, a central part of its multi-channel strategy. Graham Wright will remain interim lead until Hughes takes up the role.
