BGL Group puts Jaunt on hold
According to its website, Jaunt , a contemporary short-term car insurance provider, is working on making “Jaunt even more marrrvellous,” which is why they are not currently offering any policies.
The brand backed by BGL Group debuted on May 15th, 2019, providing short-term car insurance ranging from 1 hour to 30 days.
The coverage was handled by DayInsure , a temporary insurance provider, with policies underwritten by Aviva.
In 2021, Abacai took over DayInsure, which started in 2005. However, following the exit of its co-founders, Abacai’s website went offline. This might be related to its collaboration with Horwich Farrelly, a UK-based legal firm specializing in defending insurance claims, involving a move of Abacai’s claims team members to HF. This employee transfer aims to maintain Abacai’s customer service quality while safeguarding the job security and rights of the involved teams.
“We are delighted that through this partnership our Volume Claims teams will be joining HF. It was important to us to work with an organisation which not only has an in-depth knowledge of the insurance sector, but that also shares our values with a firm focus on its people and customers, and that made HF the perfect partner for us.” – Sarah Whitehouse, CEO Claims at Abacai.
