Foresee launches in California

Foresee, a startup looking to build a “better way” for AI agents to shop for home and auto insurance, has officially launched in California.

Initially available for car insurance, Foresee enables users to chat with its AI agent or their own agent via an MCP. After providing some basic details, Foresee’s engine uses carrier filings and formulas to present a rate the carrier would charge based on the user’s profile. A user can then choose a specific carrier and the Foresee AI agent fills out the insurer’s real quote form and read back the price the site shows.

We gave it a try and chose to get a quote through Safeway, which Foresee said was the cheapest.

However, the Foresee agent failed to get a quote from Safeway because it “doesn’t have a site walk available” – the company doesn’t sell online.

We tried Allstate and Travelers and experienced different issues.

Once an actual rate is presented, the user will need to click the link to the carrier’s site to start a quote and fill out all the info. If they end up buying coverage, Foresee gets a commission from the carrier, according to our chat with the company’s agent.
