Fetch raises $3.5 million
Self-service truck rental marketplace Fetch Truck Rental has raised $3.5 million in a round of funding led by NextView Ventures. Knoll Ventures, Zeno Ventures, Nassau Street Ventures, and a number of angels participated in the round.
The Georgia-based startup connects truck owners and people looking to rent a truck. Once onboarded, truck owners plug in Fetch’s hardware to allow approved renters to unlock the vehicle and get moving. To rent with Fetch, the renter named on the rental agreement must have proof of an existing and current auto insurance policy with both collision and liability coverage that extends to a rental vehicle.
The service is available in cities in several states including Georgia, California, Florida, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, and Washington D.C.
