Favor announces auto liability coverage for Runners
Texas-based on-demand delivery service Favor (think: Seamless) has announced its entire Runner community of over 80,000 contract delivery drivers are now automatically provided commercial auto liability insurance coverage during every active delivery with Favor, at no cost to Runners.
“This insurance immediately provides Runners with additional protection for every Favor delivery. We designed this coverage without any hurdles for the Runner – no required signup or enrollment period, or any fees, premiums or copays. Every delivery is now automatically covered on the Favor platform.” – Steven Pho, Favor president.
Favor did not respond to the question regarding their insurance partner yet this incident from 2016, in which a Favor driver had a fairly minor fender bender but no proper insurance, could have been the cause that prompted this move.
Bottom Line: Favor is a “last resort,” according to one.
