Farmers Insurance names Erik Toohey head of agency owner operations

Farmers  has appointed Erik Toohey as Head of Agency Owner Operations, where he will oversee the strategy for the Exclusive Agent Distribution channel, focusing on modernizing processes and expanding agency capabilities. Toohey will report to Ken Walton, President of Distribution and Chief Revenue Officer.

Toohey joins Farmers from Gallagher, where he was Corporate Vice President of US Finance, overseeing strategic planning and financial management for a $2.5 billion segment. He has also held leadership roles at Kemper, Berkley One, Travelers, and Cigna.

In his new role, Toohey will work with Regional Presidents to drive territory-specific strategies through centralized services, including contract administration, agent compensation, agency development, sales campaigns, and training programs.
