Emotional intelligence software for healthcare lands $15 million

Cogito Corporation announced it has raised $15 million in a Series B round bringing its total funding to date to $22.5 million. The Boston-based company offers an AI based technology for real-time voice analytics targeting health insurers. Here’s how it works. Cogito’s software compares one’s current conversation to historical calls, searching for similarities in speech, pauses and speed, to later send that special someone (typically a call center agent) gentle alerts such as ‘you’re speaking too much’ or ‘you’re tense’. Bottom Line: Zurich and Humana are faithful clients.
