Eirene partners with Assurant Life of Canada
Eirene , an online cremation and end-of-life technology platform, has partnered with Assurant Life of Canada (ALOC), affiliate of Assurant , a global provider of housing, lifestyle, and senior planning solutions that support and protect consumers and their purchases. The companies will offer Canadians the ability to prepay for cremation arrangement services online as part of their estate planning.

Through the partnership, Eirene.ca customers can purchase an ALOC life insurance policy. This “affordable” policy requires no medical and it ensures end-of-life arrangements are covered. At the time of death, the policy ensures payment for Eirene.ca cremation arrangement services, including the transportation of the deceased to the crematorium, the cremation service, government paperwork, and the return of the ashes to the family. With the ALOC insurance policy, consumers can have confidence that they are covered regardless of any future price changes for the service.
Eirene clients use the platform to arrange cremation services at the time of passing. Once confirmed online, Eirene works with local crematorium and transfer partners across Ontario to ensure the deceased is safely transported from their place of passing, cremated, and the ashes returned to their families. In addition to the new prepayment insurance solution, the Eirene.ca platform also offers a complimentary estate administration tool for families to close accounts and notify the government, along with unlimited proof of death certificates.
