Progressive added a new URL to its web management kit: Progressive.Insurance. An insider shared the following tips for those of you considering obtaining this sought-after not-long-at-all domain extension. (1) Be a regulated insurance entity (helpful). (2) Obtain a trademark for the name you’re securing (helpful). (3) “Be listed in the Yellow Pages so we can call that number and ask your receptionist to be transferred to your HR department to confirm that you’re in the insurance business” (less helpful, particularly if you don’t have a receptionist or an HR department). Bottom Line: someone is keeping the Yellow Pages in business.  The Bottom Bottom: you’re the best community.
